Liberty quarterback Mike Brown (Charlottesville, Va.) has been named the Big South football Choice Hotels Offensive Player of the Week, and Stony Brook defensive back Arin West (Toms River, N.J.) has been named the Defensive Player of the Week for games played during Week 3 of the 2009 regular-season, it was announced today by the Conference office. In addition, Seawolves kick returner Matt Brevi (Tampa, Fla.) is the Special Teams Player of the Week, while Gardner-Webb defensive tackle Matthew Goods (East Orange, N.J.) has been selected as the Freshman of the Week.
This is Matt's 2nd award in 3 weeks. He is the leading freshman sacker in FCS and he is #8 in sacks per game in the FCS. Way to go Matt.
