Long an Ivy League powerhouse, Dartmouth has been down on its luck for the past decade. That may be changing with help from a new president who was a high school quarterback. He was on the field this week throwing passes and looked pretty good doing it. There's video on the Dartmouth Big Green Alert blog (http://biggreenalertblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/president-has-game.html).

Hope it works out for you but be careful; our former President started out this way, going to pratice, showing up at games, helping during warm ups with the basketball team and then tried to downgrade the programs. Never let your guard down!

Agreed, not sure why that would help, ISU's current pres. was a UNH football player yet we're as bad as ever. xbawlingx

Georgetown's president played QB for the Hoyas in 1976.

Our atheltic director is a former coach at Harvard and former athlete at Dartmouth.

All that means to me is that Dartmouth does a lousy job of educating its students and Harvard's screening process for basketball coaches in the 1980s sucked.
