NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The 2009 Yale Football Team will have three straight Ivy League contests broadcast live on the YES Network for the second straight season as part of a package called Yale on YES.

The YES games are Saturday, Oct. 31 (Yale at Columbia), Saturday, Nov. 7 (Brown at Yale) and Saturday, Nov. 14 (Yale at Princeton). All three telecasts begin at 1 p.m. ET.

YES broadcaster Chris Shearn will handle the play-by-play, with color commentary coming from former Ivy League and National Football League lineman Ross Tucker and former Yale defensive back Jack Ford '72, a well-known author and TV personality. Dan Fleschner '01, a former radio voice of Ivy League sports and currently the producer for "Today" on NBC News, will provide insight from the sidelines on all three games.

That's good. Any exposure for FCS is a good thing. I can recall PBS televising an Ivy game each week in this area. I think it was during the late 80's and early 90's.
