Don't know how many people (on this site) care, but I think this is a pretty good idea. Do any other conferences put out a preview magazine? (I guess like a conference media guide-lite type of publication)

All conferences put out conference media guides for football.

Seems to me that the conference repackaged their media guide into a magazine-line format. That may be a bit different, but all conferences have something like this..

There is a media guide thread somewhere on these boards...

Yeah, I knew they did the typical media guide...but, wasn't sure if anyone else did something like this geared towards fans...like the football preview mags we all see, but specifically devoted to one conference.

That is a bit unusual, but I guess the OVC is trying to turn a profit and cover the costs of their media guides. Wonder how much cheaper it is to mass produce a magazine instead of a media guide...and wonder what the media thinks.

I just wonder if anyone will buy it (I guess I will) and how much interest is really out there for the OVC. I'm not sure if this is taking the place of the standard media guides or not.

I ordered mine yesterday. Hopefully it will catch on. It certainly sounds like it will be very well done with a lot of good information about the OVC.

Look here, the Sun Belt is doing it too...and they have a media guide as well.

I also saw on the ordering website http://www.collegesportsmags.com that the OVC and Southern are the only two FCS conferences offering this (through them, that is...)

I purchased mine a few days ago. That's at least 3 of us.
