So should I listen to audio from ASU's site, or listen to the CSS commentators on TV?

**Well nevermind. Appies audio is a good bit behind TV. Looks like this is going to be a fast paced game. Hope the Salukis are ready for it.

Go SoCon!

I have never been able to finish listening to a game on ASN online - I'm not sure what the issue has been, but the broadcast dropped off my computer for both the Furman game and the LSU game. I'm not sure what the issue is.

I have never listened to the CSS guys, since I live way out of CSS territory. ASN is pretty good, though.

What is this, 6 kicks in a row hit for Rauch? Not too shabby for a guy who was probably the biggest question mark on the team going into the postseason.

Incidentally, I just spoke with family back in NC who are TiVoing the game for me, and it sounds like there's a pretty big delay between the TV broadcast and the ASN online broadcast.

HiHiYikas

A lot have people have predicted 23,000 for this game, but that would be far and away our biggest home playoff crowd ever.

You can probably expect an influx of students late in the game when admission is free. That was the scene last week.

Yeah, the 6,300 last week was one of the loudest crowds I've ever been in. Louder I think that the 25K-something that showed up for the Western Carolina game.

3 and out, Salukis. I'd prefer 7 one the board rather than 3, but so far so good, Apps.

OK, it's pretty clear there are folks in here that are a few plays of my webcast. I must be a minute behind or more.

Oh well, 10-0 is a nice surprise.

Two Boomer Esiason-esque observations, based on what's happened so far and the Lafayette game:

1) App can't score when they don't have the ball.
2) App can't NOT score when they do have the ball.

SIU needs at least outscore APP by at least 21 to pull this one out in the second half. This would be quite an accomplishment:

EKU scored 9 in the 2nd Half against ASU. . .
Kansas only outscored ASU by 15 in the 2nd half. . .
Coastal Carolina put 3 on the board in the 2nd against ASU
For the Citadel, it was 6
Furman 18 (to ASU's 17)
GA SO, 7
Wofford, 7
Chattanooga, 12
L-S-U, 10
WCU, 7
Elon, 14
Lafayette, 6.

An SIU comeback would be absolutely remarkable.

He had 3393 yds of total offense last season (3109 passing).

A lot have people have predicted 23,000 for this game, but that would be far and away our biggest home playoff crowd ever.

You can probably expect an influx of students late in the game when admission is free. That was the scene last week.

11,108 at KBS, 2nd largest crown in playoff history.

Predicting something like 23K in the stands is a little like predicting a 63-7 victory for ASU. App fans want to see it happen, but there's no chance.

But at least you have the opportunity to show up! There are only 8 teams in I-AA that have earned the opportunity!! Good to see you haven't lost your sense of humor in this difficult moment!!! (at least not in a public manner).

I am impressed that a team that was going the way of Boston U and East Tenn. State a few years back is in it's third straight playoff season. The Salukis had us worried all week, especially after the close call last week.

Great game. . .

And it's true, you DO gotta love a team with a coach named Kill.

Actually, it started out as an option play, but Richie found his guy 6 yards in front of the receiver and made the play. The guy has great vision.

Perhaps that TD was thrown more at the Payton committee than the reeling Salukis.

6th place my ass. . .

Oh well, maybe Santos and Meyer will learn a thing or two as they watch Richie (and quite possibly Texas State's Nealy) from the stands in Chattanooga.

Now THAT's sour grapes.

Congrats to App. State on a great gameplan. You proved you were the better team on the field. SIU decided to leave it all on the field and atleast didn't allow it to become laughable. Best of luck next week against whomever you will face.

I half-expected SIU to put 21 points on the board against us in the 2nd half. But 21 un-answered points. . .

Well, "absolutely remarkable" only goes so far. . ."not a chance" is more like it.

Still, a quality second-half from the Salukis
