It would be great news for the SLC schools to play LSU. Great exposure for both programs with Peveto now at NWST - could that possibly help? He did not leave on bad terms.

Most years, McNeese would probably be a better challenge for LSU than Tulane or most other programs in the state. Hope the Pokes beat Tulane this year. Geaux Pokes!

I saw that. Bunch of arrogant pricks. They are too stupid to think that "ok, if we HAVE to play a FCS team I would rather it be NSU or McNeese"...they are too stuck on "I don't want LSU to play FCS teams" and can't separate the two. But then again, most of their posters are a bunch of non-LSU alumni who live and die by the Tigers.

Tigerdroppings? you have to consider the source on that one. By far the most ignorant of message board dwellers. i think the average age is about 19 and the IQ is not far off the same. I had season tix at LSU for 15 years and can assure you that I would rather see the Pokes or NSU show up than say western carolina. At least the dollars stay in state.

I doubt Louisiana-Lafayette would play McNeese again. I just can't imagine that happening. The Pokes beat them in the recruiting game, put more butts in the seats at their home stadium and would beat them nine out of 10 times, even at ULL. And that's not smack... xwhistlex

According to the Baton Rouge Advocate, LSU has begun negotiations with McNeese State and Northwestern State for football games in 2010 and 2011. McNeese and Northwestern State are both willing to travel to Baton Rouge (bus trips for both) at a lesser guarantee rate that if LSU played fellow NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision teams.
