Scott Stoker is a familiar face in the Southland Conference.

When Sam Houston State hits the field this week for spring drills, the man who served as head coach of Northwestern State from 2002 through 2008, will be a member of the Bearkat coaching staff. He was recently named defensive coordinator and linebacker coach for Sam Houston State, one of the Demons’ conference rivals.

Stoker to Sam, who would have of thought it?

This is the first SLC head coach to go from one school to a coordinator at another, right? I know it has been the other way around with coordinators at one SLC school becoming the head man at another...
