Just got back from the game. Spiders front took over the game in the second half. As I figured, Hampton turned to Antwan Smith early, and he played well. Spiders defensive speed was too much for Hampton in the second half. Onrea Jones (from Williamsburg) was awesome for Hampton.
Joe Taylor knew he would have to throw the ball to win this one, and Smith and Jones did a good job in the first half.
Hard to believe Richmond is still pulling off that pooch kickoff. That was really the end for the Pirates.
