Just talked to a colleague at G-W. Dobson Collins and Demario Deese each performed very well as part of Wake Forest's pro day this past Monday.
Collins ran a 4.45 in the 40 and had a 36" vertical jump among his results. I had heard he needed to run under 4.5 to maintain and/or improve his draft status, which the GWU coaches had been told is potentially as high as the 5th round.
That Georgia Tech game really gave him a ton of buzz.
Deese worked out as well, and did well, but I didn't ask any measurables/numbers for him. Common thought process at G-W is that if he gets into a camp, he'll make a team. Very smart lineman with good feet.
Good news for those guys, and nice of Wake to allow them to come work out. Johnston (KC Chiefs) worked out there last year. Good thing this year is that, according to Wake's release, all 32 teams were in attendance to watch.
