Lehigh announces 2009 schedule

Seven home dates highlight the 2009 Lehigh Football schedule, announced on Tuesday by Mountain Hawks head coach Andy Coen. Of Lehigh’s 11 total games, the Brown and White will take on a pair of scholarship schools, three members of the Ivy League and seven teams that posted winning records in 2008.

Seven home games, four road games. The road games are not that far away. It seems like most Lehigh fans that are in the near vicinity of campus should have an easy time making each game.

What's this mean for the 2010 slate? More road games? Figure this year's slate could help Lehigh in their quest to return to the playoffs...

I don't see playoffs written all over this tough schedule.

I think they'll have to win the PL title. IMO, they are the only team in the PL this year that has the schedule to get an at-large, but that will have to include a win at Villanova which is going to be tough.

Lehigh leaves the state exactly twice - once for Hamilton, another for Fordham.
