Steve Farmer (former ISU player), OC and OL coach at Univ. of Louisiana-Monroe named Offensive Coordinator at Illinois State.
Jim Williams retained from Denver Johnson's staff, will either be TE or RB coach while holding duties of recruiting coordinator and director of football operations.

Phil Elmassian, takes over as new Defensive Coordinator at ISU. He was recently the defensive coordinator at Univ. of Louisiana-Monroe. He was also DC at LSU, Virginia Tech, Boston College and West Virginia. Was Purdue DB coach in 2003. During that year the Boilermakers ranked second in the Big Ten, 19th in the Nation in pass efficiency DEF, and 13th nationally in total DEF. Brings 35 years of coaching experience to Normal.

Taylor Stubblefield (former Purdue WR) takes over as WR coach at Illinois State. Stubblefield was recently a graduate assistant coach at Eastern Michigan. He owns the career pass receptions mark at Purdue with 316 career catches.

Jay Peterson (former asst. coach at Eastern Michigan and Northwestern) named linebackers coach at Illinois State. Served as Asst. HC/Linebackers coach at Eastern Michigan, DL coach, Linebackers and Special Teams coach at Northwestern. Miami (OH) Linebackers/Spec. Teams coach, and brings 24 years of experience to Normal (combined HS and College).

Lamar Conrad (former Purdue DB) joins Redbird staff as DB coach. Conrad was the first walk-on to earn a scholarship under Joe Tiller at Purdue and served the last two years as a graduate assistant coaching the DB and Scout Team.
