When it comes to selecting the All American for the positions Offensive tackles and guards, how are players rated? They don't have statistics, like tackles, sacks, picks, TDs, or Yards per catch, upon which to make comparison. What kind of stats do these guys carry?

When it comes to selecting the All American for the positions Offensive tackles and guards, how are players rated? They don't have statistics, like tackles, sacks, picks, TDs, or Yards per catch, upon which to make comparison. What kind of stats do these guys carry?

Lineman do recieve rating from their coaches for everygame. However there is no standardized rating system like a QB rating for example. Each O-line coach has their own rating that differs slightly and really is only used for internal purposes. Other then that coaches watch a lot of film and know who the good linemen are. They talk em up and the names get out there usually.
