At the end of the day in the Southland Conference, the team that played the best on the field and still remains a thorn in the side of Texas State head coach Brad Wright didn’t win the conference title.

Hey...when he listed the results of playoff games involving Southland teams playing at Missoula he left out the only really close game a Southland team has played up there during the tournament. McNeese lost up there in 1994's second round by 30-28 when Montana hit a field goal with about a half minute left.

Actually the Northwestern St. game in 2001 went down to the wire and was only decided in the last couple of minutes.
