Interesting game but I'll take the home team.

Colgate's strength is their run game. Nova's strength is their Run Def. Something's gotta give. Nova wins at home.

Colgate
I'm going to pick against them now? Really? Colgate knows how to win the close ones, and isn't a team that will panic if they fall behind early and quickly. Still, it will be an uphill climb, that's for sure. No disrespect for the Wildcats, who are highly ranked for a reason, but Colgate is rolling as well

Nova, but closer than the experts think, that's for Lee Corso. I really think Colgate can win this game if it makes a couple big plays in the passing game or gets a couple real short fields. Colgate usually struggles with teams that can go up and down the field on offense. 'Nova is more of a methodical team which helps.

Colgate is flying under the radar, biggest surprise of the first round, unless App screws themselves.

We will need a couple of breaks and a turnover or two, perhaps even a well timed gift from the MEAC officials. I am dusting off the old Maroon game jersey and driving to Philly to scream for the 'gate. Mark me down for a homer pick.

I think Villanova will win, but the game should be competitive.

Was at the UD/Nova game. First time I got to see Nova this year. The had a powerful offense IMO, a few mistakes, but UD's defense WAS playing pretty well for awhile. The Nova running game is very nice and very confusing. You never knew who had the ball or who was getting the ball. I think that even half the time they didn't even know who was getting it..lol. Maybe I am just being biased towards Nova for being "more local" than Colgate, just something about Colgate that doesn't really impress me. Go NOVA!!!

Vote with your head and not with your heart people. I saw the Colgate defense against Stony Brook and they looked small and outmanned against SBU. I know it was the first game of the season, but having watched the Wildcats play as well, there is too much talent on both sides of the ball.

Colgate will be overmatched in this one, Wildcats at home to set up a JMU vs. Nova II
