Since it is getting down towards the end of the season I figured why not look at which teams are Senior heavy and who aren't. For the record the Apps only have 14 on the roster this year. That is great because many of these guys will be back in the black and gold next year. I was looking at Elon's roster and they are about in the same boat with most of their squad coming back next year. So AGS, what do you have???

Most SoCon teams should be returning just about everyone.

As far as seiors that will not return, we will lose, approximately 6-8. Mosta noteably, QB Landers, two Off. Lineman.

Our secondary and LB's are all either true freshman or have never played the positions they find themselves in.

ASU Senior Losses:

LB Pierre Banks - significant loss, clutch defensive leader
OT Jonathan Bieschke - big loss, has been steady this yr
OL Brad Coley - another solid OL
WR TJ Courman - never busted out like I thought he would. It's a loss but I think he is easily replaceable
WR Anthony Cruver - buried on depth chart
DB Josh Davis - reserve/special teamer
TE Trey Hennessee - seems like he's been there forever, became a force on kick coverage for a weak kick covering team
WR James Hill - speedy WR who never lived up to potential
DB Leonard Love - solid safety will be missed
WR Clay McKnight - deep reserve
DB Billy Riddle - great story, good team guy, nice nickel DB
TE Brandon Simpkins - blocking TE outshined by Ben Jorden
P Neil Young - May be the biggest loss other than Pierre Banks. Seriously.

Montana Seniors:

14 Bergquist, Cole QB - Big loss, but Selle will do fine next year.
18 Campbell, Ciarre CB - Not a huge loss, since he's not a starter, but he gives us good depth.
97 Carlson, Jesse DT - Defensive line takes a hit next year. Jesse will be missed.
55 Carter, Dan OG - Another big guy who will be missed. OL is another place that will lose some great players.
56 Corwin, Tyler LB - Amazing athlete. Hard to replace.
79 Dow, Colin OC - All American candidate. Big, big loss.
82 Ferriter, Mike WR - One of the toughest losses on offense. Mike has been amazing over the last few years. He's always been that go to guy that would come up with the first down play when we needed it. Sorely missed.
58 LaMantia, Paul DT - Another hit to the DL.
35 Martin, Tom LB - Another hit at LB.
50 Mettler, Craig DT - DT losses hurt.
69 Quinn, J.D. OG - As much as some people don't like him, he'll be sorely missed. One of the meanest, toughest players on the Griz roster.
66 Russum, Brent OT - Another All American loss at OT.
28 Schmidt, Andrew RB - Had a great game against Cal Poly, but has fallen behind Reynolds. Schmidt, however, was a huge special teams player.
8 Schulte, Rob WR - All-around amazing athlete. Will be really, really missed.
91 Stadnyk, Mike DE - We're gonna need a lot of guys to step up on DT, since we'll be pretty shredded after graduation.

Good news is that we have a lot of younger guys starting and getting considerable play time. I think we'll be just fine next season. I mean honestly, considering this is a "rebuilding year", I think we'll be alright. xlolxxnodx

UNH loses a few key seniors.

LB Matt Parent
CB John Clements
CB Maurice Duper
OL Josh Droesch
OL Chris McClurg
OL Eric Cumba
OL Andrew Elwell
P Tom Bishop

Those are the senior regulars we'll lose. UNH will only return 1 starter on the OL (Neill) that wasn't the projected starter to open this season. Fortunately, Jayson Elmore and Dan Larkin have gotten considerable time.

Tomorrow is Senior Day at StonyBrook and we will lose 20 but not all are starters. We do have a strong group of red shirts and transfers for 2009 and both our starting running backs return.

Offense(6)
RB- Tyler Roehl
FB- Tyler Jangula
TE- Jeremiah Wurzbacher
WR- Kole Heckendorf
WR- Alex Belquist
LG- James Septak
C- Zach Harrington

Defense(5)
DE- James Lardinois
DE- Nick Compton
OLB- Ramon Humber
OLB- Mike Maresh
FS- Nick Schommer
RCB- John Richardson

Major losses would be Tyler Roehl and Ramon Humber; however, I think every player but 4 on this list has been hurt at some point of the season so we have built a lot of depth.

NDSU only loses 16 seniors but it's a much bigger loss that than in actuality:

7 starters on offense:
RB: Roehl
FB: Jangula
TE: Wurzbacher
WR: Heckendorf
WR: Belquist
C: Harrington
OG: Septak

6 starters on defense:
DE: Lardinois
DE: Compton
LB: Humber
LB: Maresh
CB: Richardson
FS: Schommer

Also losing the
Nickel CB: Agbetola
PR/KR: Washington
Backup LB: Brower

The heart and soul is getting ripped out of this team - not good considering the disappointment they've already had this year.

I think we'll be fine defensively but there are a lot of question marks on the other side of the ball, especially in regards to our passing game.

Colgate has 17 total seniors on the roster, 13 of them starters at some point

*-Started at least 1 game this year

Offense
Mike Beatty FB
Brian Doyle C
*Sam Breslin WR
Steve Hansen TB
*Nick Hennessey OT
*Steve Jonas OT
*Alex Relph QB
*Rich Rosabella OG
*Jordan Scott TB
*Justin Snyder OT
*Eric Tupta FB

Defense
*Chris Ekpo CB
*Ted Marshall LB
*Jim Meara DT
*David Morgan DB

Special Teams
*Jacob Stein K
Ryan Dowgin K

The offense loses a lot, but some replacements are being found. So. Greg Sullivan has clearly taken Relph's job, while Scott appears to have been ably replaced by Fr. Nate Eachus. Finding holes to fill in the O-Line will be a big challenge for next year

Defense has a lot of youth, relative to a usual Colgate unit, but these are some key pieces

Stein will be a tough loss, as he's been a do-everything kicker, but hopefully they'll have a recruit ready to step in come August

From the starting lineup Wofford loses 3 OL, 1 Wr, 1 TE, 1 QB, and 1 HB on offense. On D we lose 4 LBs, 1 DL, and 1 safety.

I'm glad we implement so many players early that the WR, TE, QB, and HB, positions are not a concern. The OL should turn out OK because the starters will be upperclassmen next year. Our D should be good but inexperience at LB could be a problem.

Next year will be a "learning year" we will return a lot of starters the following year.

I think SIU has about 10. Deji Karim is a running back who has not played this year due to an injury and may get a medical redshirt. The biggest losses will be running back Larry Warner along with a couple of offensive linemen, WR Damian Sherman and LB James Cloud. All 19 of our incoming freshmen this year were redshirted, so we should be able to fill up some holes on the depth chart.
