I think the only A10 teams with any real shot at the playoffs now are New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Richmond and feel that if all win next week should get into the playoffs. Feel free to discuss current ongoings in the A10 on this thread...

Agree, but Hofstra could sure mess things up with a win over Umass! (Hofstra with a win would have 7 D-I wins)

Richmond also needs to take care of business this week. But Richmond seems to be on a roll I was very impressed by tutt's decision making today. Tutt has always been an awesome talent but was subject to mistakes in the past. Today it looked to me as if he is the whole package. ;)

Oddly enough, if UMAss and UNH both lose, I think Richmond will get the auto bid, even if they lose to W&M.

Delaware 22 at #24 William & Mary 21 FINAL

Was this game decided at the end? Did anyone here on AGS go to this game?

Delaware scored with about 2 minutes remaining. 89Hen was there. He might be able to tell you more about the intangibles. I listened to the game and it was a very gutsy Hen win.

I was there. Hens were down 21-14 in the fourth and got a safety to close the gap to 21-16. They punted after not moving the ball and W&M took over in great field position, but the Hens intercepted on about their own 40 and drove down for a TD with about 4 minutes to go. Delaware held on W&M's next possesion and took over on downs but couldn't run the clock out so W&M had one last chance with about 30 seconds, but the Hens picked them off again to end it.

What happens if Richmond and UMass lose? (not at all impossible btw)

Did the Hens go for a 2 point conversion on their last TD?

I think that would end Richmond's playoff hopes but I think UMass gets in and goes on the road which I think will happen anyways win or lose for the Minutemen if you have read my thread with my playoff field prediction.

They did and I had flashbacks of the Furman 2 pont conversion run through my head.

What the others left out in describing this game was that Greg Kuehn missed field goals of 26, 35 and 46 yards. The Tribe had several opportunities to take control of the game, and just kept letting the Hens hang around. We blocked a punt, had the ball at the Delaware 11, and failed to score. That's when I started to get the same feeling I had against JMU.

The difference was that for the 1st time this year the UD defense stepped up and some some plays. First holding W&M to a FG attempt (which they missed) after a blocked punt was recovered on the 11... then sacking the W&M QB for a safety and twice stopping W&M after taking a one point lead with 4:30 minutes left. W&M's offense contolled the 1st half... but the Hen's 'D' did a very good job in the 2d.

If that "law of averages" theory holds up, Hens might be in some deep ***** next week. ;)

Then again, hard to say which team is due at this point

I still can't believe how W&M fell apart in the last three weeks.

Thanks 17, you guys have a very good team with a young QB, talented receivers and a good D. Good luck going forward. Oh by the way, what a nice facility and beautiful campus....
