Does anyone know who has the longest, current streak, being ranked in TSN and USA/Today polls? I noticed Lehigh has been ranked 26 consective weeks, while i know that's not the longest i was wondering who does hold that distinction. Montana? Furman? Nothing can compare to Duke's current streak in bball i know that's for sure.

Though I had read something here recently about GSU being ranked for all but a couple of weeks over a LONG time frame

I doubt Furman, we were 6-5 in 2003 and I don't believe ranked at the end of the season.

Since 97 I think we have been unranked for 2-3 weeks only.

Didn't Georgia Southern fall out of the rankings midway through 2003 when they were 4-4?

The Griz have been ranked in the Top 25, 181 of the last 185 weeks, and in the Top 10, 92 of the last 96 weeks.

Not sure what the unranked weeks were. Final ranking out of the Top 10 since 1993, the beginning of the current Griz playoff streak, are #11 (97), #14 (98), and #14 (03).

The last time i could see Montana not being ranked would be early '98 when they started 3-3.

According to this Wofford site, the Griz hold the current streak at 103 weeks (93 + 10 this year). http://www.wofford.edu/athletics/content.asp?id=1641

Montana has been in the top 10 for 25 straight weeks.

Just went through the ESPN poll and the following teams have been ranked every week this season:

UNH
Hampton
Montana
SIU
Furman
Texas State
Montana State
UNI
Lehigh
WKU
Cal Poly
E Wash
W&M

Going back through last season's polls, the only teams ranked every week of 2004 and 2005 were:

Montana
SIU
WKU
Furman

Only SIU and Montana were ranked every week of 2003. Western Kentucky began their 2nd longest streak in Week 9 of 2002.

Montana has finished in the top 15 in the Sports Network Poll every year since 1993. Thats twelve years, and I don't see that streak ending this year, unless we lose our last two.

Sure would love to see a SIU-Montana matchup.

I thought I read or heard recently that SIU has been in the top 10 for 33 straight weeks and in the top 25 for 36.

Not bad for a program that was a regular doormat for 17 years.

Sounds about right. In 1994, GSU was unranked when they faced ASU. Again in 1996. But other than that, always ranked, usually in the top 5 but never lower than 13th. GSU was number 1 or 2 in '98, '99, '00, '01, '04 by the time they faced ASU.
