RAVENS ROOKIES STAR IN HISTORIC WIN
Ray Rice (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11289) gained 154 yards rushing and Joe Flacco (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11252) passed for 248 yards in the Ravens' 37-27 win over the Browns. It was the first time in NFL history that rookies gained at least 150 yards rushing and 200 yards passing in a victory. Two pairs of rookies did so in a loss: Paul Robinson and Sam Wyche for the Bengals in 1968, and Barry Sanders (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=6571) and Rodney Peete (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=59) for the Lions in 1989.

Great - Joe Flacco's the next Calvin, er, Rodney Peete. Mebbe when he retires he can turn to coaching and become the next Sam Wyche...

Joe is really coming into his own now. Harbaugh is no longer playing it safe with him, but rather is allowing Joe to throw the deep passs and the tough passes, and Joe is getting them done.

Joe has 100+ QB ratings in 2 out of the last 3 games. TDs are up and INTs are down. More importantly, his team is 5-3.

I luv Harbaugh, but actually I think this is more Cam Cameron's doing - I'm guessing that the next step will be inserting Troy Smith as a Randle-El-like wideout and running a little Wing-T action (instead of the wildcat stuff that's been hot-n-cold with playclock issues) - now that would be irony!
