The big question is, can Villanova put the gut wrenching defeat last week behind them?
and can Northeastern finally win a close game at home against a quality opponent?

Not sure how you can say that. They're a fluke play away from being in the top 3-4.

Tough one next week in Philadelphia for UNH.They'll have to play a lot better then they have been to have any shot at winning that game.

I don't really think you can say Villanova is in a 'fade' yet. Sure, you'd like to see them respond to the tough loss last week a little bit better. Let's see what happens next week vs. UNH. I am looking forward to that one.

I honestly think Villanova was looking ahead somewhat.. as was the case with the UPenn game.. The last time Villanova had a nail biter like this, they beat Richmond the very next week, so i expect them to come out fighting in front of a fairly solid home crowd, especially if the weather is halfway decent.

Probably more Nova entering Parsons Field....always have a tough time there for some reason.

Let's hope 'Nova is very overconfident next weekend vs a NH team that no one yet believes is for real or gives them any chance vs the Philly Powerhouse. After all, NO Santos, NO Ball, .... NO Chip Kelly, .....

The UNH game is Nova's season, no way will they overlook this one. From what I can tell, UNH has a very good offense that will score some points but a pretty average defense. I am glad this one is at Nova, otherwise I would probably give UNH the edge.

I'm not sure about that since you could lose and still have an 8-3 record with a win over a very good Richmond team, a win over at a minimum a good W&M team and a loss snatched from the jaws of victory against #1 JMU. You'd win a few tiebreakers with that resume IMHO.

What an exciting game to look forward too. I think Villanova is the clear favorite given their experience this season and the CAA South's domination of the North. With that said, the best opportunity for a statement game left on UNH's schedule. Put the idiots suggesting they're not a contender at rest, for sure.

Nova has been left out of the dance at 8-3 before. 9-2 puts all doubts to rest. Any way you slice it, this is a big game for Nova. I think more so for Nova than UNH based on records. At 7-1 UNH is looking pretty good on paper.

So has UNH! Especially painful since we beat you guys decisively in week 10 (of 12) and we both ended up 8-3. You guys got the bid and we stayed home. The reason given was because we lost to Northeastern in the week 12 game.

No argument about it being a big game for both teams. Even if Nova loses to UNH, you have a win over Richmond and W&M on your resume. UNH has neither, but can get a similar one with a win over UMass. Right now, I think UNH getting a Nova win is more important than Nova getting a win over UNH. We can agree to disagree.

But you guys got us back last year getting in the dance at 7-4 over our 7-4!

I think 8-3 puts Nova in harms way, which I would prefer to avoid. If UNH loses to Nova but finishes 9-2 with wins over Mass and a very good Maine team they are a big time shoo-in.
