Some lineup changes this week. Nate Eachus is officially listed as the starting TB today, Jordan Scott #2 on the depth chart. Who knows what it means, really, but I'm hopeful (based on nothing, really) that Scott will see some time today. Sam Breslin appears to be back, he's officially listed as the starting WR opposite Pat Simonds. More changes on the defensive Front 4. Carlton Walker is this week's NT ahead of Paul Mancuso, you're probably just as likely to see both. David Morgan is listed as the starter at FS ahead of Vinnie Nicosia

The Jordan Scott Record Watch
Career Rushing TDs (Colgate): 3 TDs
Career Scoring (Colgate): 17 points
Career Carries (Division I): 26 carries
Career Carries (NCAA): 82 carries

Scott needs 29 yards to become the 8th player in FCS history to rush for 1,000 yards in all 4 of his collegiate seasons.
The distinguished list:
Jerry Azumah, New Hampshire
Adrian Peterson, Georgia Southern
Alonzo Coleman, Hampton
Clifton Dawson, Harvard
Steve Baylark, Massachusetts
Scott Phaydavong, Drake
Donald Chapman, Tennessee-Martin

Scott needs 46 yards to reach 5th Place on the Career FCS Rushing List, he is currently 6th

Biddle: We're playing well on defense, but we need to generate some offense, get some first downs and get a drive going.

Scott is "not at full speed" and we won't see him in the 2nd Half

In general, Biddle is right, especially about the offense. Some credit is definately due to the Leopard's good D, but the Raider O has been pretty awful. No passing game at all (Sullivan is 1-9, 3 yards, 1 INT). If they can generate just a little passing game, they could get on the board. Still plenty of time to pull this one out

From the look of it, Curley got hit in the head (or hit the turf hard) back in the 1st Half. They've been mixed the QBs so far in the 2nd. Quilling seems to throw a better ball, but Curley was more mobile and could make more things happen. Tough tradeoff xtwocentsx

Great win, and a great 2nd Half for Colgate. That fumble was a HUGE play, and it completely shifted the game's momentum around. Make no mistake, Lafayette is a very good team. Obviously having guys out isn't helpful, and the back-and-forth at QB didn't really help their O, but their defense was for real. Ran out of gas a bit at the end, but they're very solid

And how about that Colgate Defense? Much maligned, much looked-down-upon, and they responded with as good a defensive effort as they've had all season. Great job by the offense to just keep ticking after an awful 1st Half, and a great win for the Raiders

I see no way Lehigh beats Colgate. They played a pretty uninspired game against a terrible Georgetown team today. The 20 point final margin is deceiving. Lehigh has shown nothing the last 2-3 years to indicate they're capable of beating a quality team.

You preaching to the choir DFW. This is the worst, most unprepared Lehigh team in probably 20+ years. One has to believe that if Lehigh goes 0'fer to finish the season Coen will be sent packing.

What about the Fordham game? I think Lehigh was very prepared with some great playcalling. Don't try to get Coen fired every week. No offense but I'm sure Lehigh wasn't exactly focused on Gtown this week. Win is a win, I don't care how ugly it was this week. Everything is set up for Lehigh to put the program in the right direction next week. Its doubtful they will win but I guarantee a fight.

So now we're settling for moral victories and effort? You basically said yourself that you have little to no hope that Lehigh can win so that's what you're implying. Also, you do realize that Fordham is not a good football team either, correct?

DFW said this on the Hoya board

"Not compared to, say, Indiana State or Dartmouth, but to the rest of the PL, a 1-16 league record in three years is *that* bad.

This was a well below average Lehigh team that ought to have been defeated today. "

Yea I know Fordham has struggled this year, but there is still alot of talent on that team. I didn't get to see the Lehigh-Gtown game because it wasn't on TV, but I'm not reading too much into. If Lehigh losses by 40 next week, I'll shut up and admit that this is the worst Lehigh team since before my time. I think Lehigh will fight hard and lose in the trenches late.

As always, great to see 13 aboard with us.

I watched the game with my father. Together we have seen a lot of Colgate Football over many, many years. We both thought Lafayette, despite injuries, seemed to be a better team - indeed, one of LC's better clubs through the years. But, to our mutual deight, Colgate's defense stepped up and played a fine game and the offense gained greater traction as the game progressed. Still a lot of work to do, but this is a satisfying win against a very good team.
