Flagstaff is over 7000 ft. above sea level.
Looming high over Flagstaff are the San Francisco Peaks. This imposing dormant volcano is Arizona's highest point at a respectable 12,633 feet.

The NCAA has never once crowned a football national champion in Division I-A, according to it's own website (http://www.ncaasports.com/football/mens/history/divia) . In fact, until Colgate reached the title game in 2003, Furman was the only private school to even reach the title game.

So what you are saying is that Del was founded as a private school that started being subsidized by the state?
Surprised that has never been challenged in court.

Just curious, if Delaware chose to break off ties with the state, would the state have nibs on any of the property?
Question 2. Does Delaware State ever raise a ruckus about UD getting all that state $ ?

Yes Delaware began as a private institution. (Actually like Harvard it was also religous.)

Good question about the property. As a taxpayer I would want some compensation.

Del State has about 3,000 undergrads. Delaware at least 15,000.

Del state would have an argument about funding but until Dr. Sessoms they have been more interested in recruiting out of State Students than Delaware residents.
