For those of you lucky enough to have a video screen or a good announcer, do you get live uptodate scores from around the FCS or your conference? At Wa-Griz the scoreboard used to show scores from around the Big Sky conference. I haven't seen one in 2 years. Our announcer this year seems to try and get 3 or 4 scores out, that is for the whole game, on TV timeouts. I started bringing a radio with me so I can listen to the radio guys and pick up a score here and there.

I usually use my phone to get scores. They never announce them fast enough for me.

If you've got unlimited text or a generous text package, text google (466459) and in the message body, type the name of the school and you'll get the score. They usually respond before I can close the flap on my phone.

Thanks. I will put that in my phone right now.

Yeah, the video screen in the UNI Dome will show the top 25 (FBS) teams as well as the MVC scores. And of course the scores from Iowa and Iowa State.

Is that a telephone line for people to call YOU to get the REAL information on what really happened at the olympics, the JFK shooting, and the WTC?

SHSU's press conference distributes SportsTicker scoreboard updates once, if not twice a quarter...at least back in my time there.

As usual, we even have this backwards at WCU. No, our PA guy, and he's a good guy and we have had some good tailgates together in the past, but his assts. hand him ACC and SEC scores 1st. THEN, we get the SoCon scores. No FCS top 25, nothing. I have told him about this so hopefully, we get it straightened out.

That sucks!!!

Because the Louisiana-Lafayette crowd doesn't even want to be called "Louisiana-Lafayette". :)

Our announcer at the games will normally make one or two passes at the scores. Normally starting with SoCon scores, and then the second pass hitting the big SEC/ACC games in our region.

Since I have a company issued Blackberry now, I check the scores about every 5 minutes during the game for a few other teams myself and some nearby friends follow.

I've noticed SoCon games up on the board before as well. Come to think of it Montana has been up there before as well. Either way they do a pretty good job I think.

Our PA guy announces scores, but they're about a quarter behind.

Usually it goes like this.

1. CAA Scores
2. Ivy Scores
3. Patriot League Scores
4. Boston College
5. Top 25 FBS

We used to NOT announce Boston University scores (partially because they wouldn't let us in the Yankee Conference for years) much like the way Harvard seems to not announce Yale scores.

I wish we wouldn't announce Boston College scores, but the guys in the press box say they get pestered for the scores so often, they do it to shut people up.
