SME NETWORK TOP 25 FOR WEEK 8
Top Teams Hold Serve…Very Little Movement

Melville, NY – Today, the SME Network released their Top 25 Broadcasters’ Poll for the eighth week of the season. Finally, the movement has settled down and all but one of the top 10 remains in tact.

This week, the largest jump in the ranks came from Jacksonville State. The Gamecocks went from being unranked to moving up to the #21 spot. William & Mary, and Weber State moved up four spots each. Due to their loss, Massachusetts fell to #18. Also due to losses, both North Dakota State and South Dakota State fell out of the top 25.

Week eight didn’t see as many unpredictable upsets and movement in the poll. Perhaps the best are near the top. With playoff caliber match-ups next week, we will see which teams can start calling themselves, “Best of the Best”.

Here is the week eight SME Network Top 25 Broadcasters’ Poll:

Decent poll. Question San Diego in there. Weber too low.

I dont think gsu should of moved... stayed in the top 25... they have lost to the number 6 team in the bcs and number 2,3,4 teams in the fcs by a total of 4 points... 4 points is the difference of gsu being 3-4 and 6-1...

GSU is a top 15 team with an unranked teams record IMO.

I thought about starting that exact thread last night......though GSU has a losing record, they really are a top 25 team.

Lost to #2 App by 1
Lost to #3 Elon by 2
Lost to #4 Wofford by 1 in overtime
Played a BCS team pretty well

It's hard to argue against that!

Wow! Thanks for all the respect for the effort our guys have given this year, seriously. It's been pretty agonizing to get so close but come up short for us fans, let alone how it must be for the players. I'm just hoping they can keep their heads in the remaining games.

I wll give a non-SoCon nod to this notion (even though I didn't vote this way :p :o ). They were very impressive on Saturday to go with that resume.

good to see some love for the Jacks....I think NAU/Weber should be 12/13th positions respectively

GSU would do well in the playoffs.
