Bomar, Higgins and Sinisi have been added to the official Payton Award Watch. A final revision to the list is scheduled for November.

I really don't understand the need for this list before or during the season. It's pointless and stupid. Why not wait until the season is OVER and then judge who the best player truly was? What kind of sense does it make to put a bunch of guys on before the season starts? What is 10 of them get injured for the year in Game One?

I don't believe anyone was removed from the original list.
