Update on the games in the SLC this weekend. Nicholls St. and Texas St. are still on top of the conference
Nicholls and Texas State picks up big SLC wins Saturday.

PLANO, Texas - - Senior quarterback Yale Vannoy rushed for a team-high 122 yards on 13 carries against Northwestern State. The Colonels defeated the Demons, 31-24 on Saturday at Turpin Stadium. With the win, Nicholls (4-3 overall, 3-1 SLC) moved to the top of the Southland Conference standings along with Texas State. TXST demolished McNeese State, 49-7, for its biggest margin of victory in a Southland Conference game.
