Just a quick thread to let the FCS world know that right now the #1 JMU Dukes are in a world of hurt at the LB position.
Luckily, we play a unique defense that features only 2 LBs. However, DJ Brandon, our senior LB, appears to be out for the season with an ACL tear (MRI will reveal extent of damage). Our other starting LB is a freshman - Jamie Veney. Good, but green so to speak. Our backup LB also went out with a shoulder injury, so now we basically are running out of bodies at the position.
This could turn into a haunting issue. We knew we were thin at the position, but now I'm sure JMU will be removing a redshirt or two top make sure that at least some bodies are there should the injury bug keep biting. xoopsx
This could have severe implications for JMU down the road as the team draws closer to the playoffs and potentially a seed.
