Home team curse...

I knew about the last few years but Jmu/Ur has the away team winning most of the time longer than that. We are 6-2 in Harrisonburg (and 3-5 in Richmond) over the last 16 years. Anyone else have strange series like this? or anyone except Jmu have a 75% winning percentage in Harrisonburg?

UofR has figured out the Bridgeforth secret, so don't tell, haha. Off the top of my head (so give or take 1), we've only lost 3 or 4 home games in the last 5 years. I saw somewhere a stat like 32-4. Again those are rough figures, but fairly accurate.

Its not AS strange that JMU wins at UR because we have a near 50/50 crowd split. But for UR to come into a hostile Harrisonburg and win that much, is impressive.

Could it be that not having a large & loud home crowd each week, actually improves our chances on the road, and allows the team to be ready for it? In the past, we seem to be less affected by location than most teams.

Maybe, but I still think we are trying to change the home atmosphere, and it has been improving the last 5 (6?) years.

Since 1986 when Delaware joined the Yankee Conference and the Hens have been conference mates with the Wildcats, UNH has been 6-2 at Delaware. And of course, the Blue Hens have been 6-3 in Durham during the same time frame. xrotatehx xrotatehx xrotatehx

Last year, for the first time since the first two games ever of the ASU/GaSo series (1932, 1934) the visiting team won two straight games (App won @ GaSo in 06, GaSo won @ App in 06)

I was at the UR-JMU game out there in '95, I think it was (?) when we were down 33-14 with like 5 minutes to go and ended up winning 34-33 in what I think is still the craziest/best game I have ever seen in person, even better than Saturday's game.
