With probably 15K of those fans being SDSU fans, that may be the largest PARTISAN crowd ever for the Jacks. All attendance records above that included large opponent fan bases.xthumbsupx

You win. ;)

Lost 27 - 13, but competed very well against them. Scored ten unanswered points in the 4th quarter, including an onside kick recovery and special team was decent today. One of few highlights for the Toppers. Held Virginia Tech to 295 total yards of offense. This was WKU's 5th road game out of six. Finally two straight home games against Ball State and Florida Atlantic coming up. Hopefully WKU can beat the Fighting Letterman's next Saturday. Who knows he may have a zinger about Big Red? xthumbsupx

Smallest FCS crowds I have seen so far for today:

Albany at Duquesne - 1,682
Youngstown State at Southern Utah - 1,714

Seems very few actually saw the YSU upset.

jw, should I be depressed there were only 15K at the Bowl today?

Somehow I figured Holy Cross would yield a crowd in the 20-25K range in New Haven.

On a day that's 65 degrees and mostly sunny? Yes. I expected 20k.

But maybe we are living in the past.

Didn't Harvard-HC attract 20K on a Friday night? I would think a Saturday afternoon game would draw better than a Friday night game, and Yale usually seems to get better attendance than Harvard, so it seems strange that only 15K showed up today.

The new lights and the later start times are working wonders for our attendance.

15,112 for Albany (and school wasn't even open yet)
16,422 for Delaware (largest regular season attendance sine 1974)

That's an average of 92% of capacity!!!:) :) :)

Excellent crowd for Columbia!

I think if you ask most Lion fans, Princeton is their biggest rival in football. Those two teams certainly have a history. Princeton fans, however, probably don't feel the same way. To them, Harvard, Yale and Penn are bigger rivals.

Last year Columbia only drew 2,555 for their homecoming game against Yale.

I really don't remember the last time Columbia drew 8K prior to yesterday. I think its been a while.

Somewhere between 7-8k fans which was dissapointing for such a beautiful day for football. Its hard to gauge our fanbase, but we seem to have trouble getting pumped up for a game anytime before 3pm. We played great and fortunetly didn't need much from the crowd but thats gonna need to change in our next home game against Wofford in a couple weeks!

Unfortunately the attendance was really sad. Chattanooga does those t-shirt give-aways periodically, throwing them up into the home stands. We were thinking that by the last time they did it Saturday they could just walk up and hand them to whoever was left.

That's last year's list, and they hadn't updated a lot of the newer stadiums' capacities (using 2,000 for Stony Brook instead of 8,136, St. Francis using 1,500 instead of 3,500, and others)

There were over 12,000 plus Highschool and JR. College student's there that got free ticket's on campus at JSU.
Those ticket's are not part of the official count.

43,000 is right.
Add those 12,000 in and you got well over 53,000 to 55,000 in there.
