GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman quarterback Jordan Sorrells has been named Southern Conference Football Offensive Player-of-the-Month for September, the league announced today.

Sorrells, a junior from Greenville, has directed Furman to a 4-1 record this season and No. 15 ranking in the latest Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Sports Network Top 25 Poll. He has completed 83-of-135 passes for 1,128 yards and 10 touchdowns with only three interceptions. His 151.67 passing efficiency rating is the highest among all SoCon signal callers.

Sorrells was just the offensive player of the month. While I'm obviously very happy for him, congrats are also due to LB Seth Goldwire from Wofford for winning the defensive player of the month.
