Hofstra runs out the clock leading Stony Brook 31-3 at the half.

Turnovers and bad plays by SBU plus good execution by the Pride.

Oy, another classic case of "I get really scared whenever I recognize the name of my opponent's school" blues for Stony Brook.

Regardless, Hofstra yet again proves that they're the better team this year. Great job Pride, we'll get you next year.

I thought this was funny, the official SBU game story said
Still trailing 31-3 late in the third, Stony Brook forced the third Hofstra punt of the quarter after holding the Pride to a three and out. But the Seawolves fumbled away the punt and Hofstra recovered near midfield. Eight plays later the Pride found the end-zone again on another short Christopher run that put the game out of reach.4 TDs ahead was not enough, 5 was the closer.

That's pretty funny. In fairness to SBU, they're in a terrible funk for some reason. Against Colgate they looked like world beaters pushing them all over the field. Last night was the classic game of something goes wrong, then all goes to hell. SBU just couldn't get or create a break for themselves last night. I think they're better than what they put out their yesterday.

I still think looking at both teams we had a little more speed and athleticism where it mattered, but i expected a dogfight. Not a SBU fan, but Priore is a good coach, i'm sure he'll right the ship.

In newsday or on the air last night? Kind of an odd comment considering.
