Sam kicks off to McNeese and Whitehead returns it to the S31. A 57 yard kickoff return. Face mask against SHSU, McNeese gets it going at the S25 to start the game.

Fontenot moves the ball well, fumbles the ball back to the S8. 3rd down, Fontenot throws incomplete on third down.

SHSU gets nice return from Collins, penalties on SHSU's Richburg on kickoff negating it.

Daughtery completes to Martin, first down on S45.

Godfrey for no gain. Daughtery incomplete pass (Christian out of bounds). Daughtery almost throws a pick (intended for Martin). Kats punt away.

Cowboys take over at S17 after another huge return by Whitehead. 52 yard return.

Cowboys are M22. Jones hit right when he got rid of the ball, but 52 yard gain on the play to Franklin, I believe. At S16. Whitehead fumbles, Kats recover! SHSU's Jackson at the S17.

Another big personal foul on the Kats, this time on the return. Kats go three out and McN starts off at the S27 after a punt from the end zone. Football is loose, Kats recover on a second down. John Griffin...

How many turnovers is that? Fourth for McNeese and a safety. Three turnovers for Sam today...

Curtis Park in with his seventh punt of the afternoon. Kats record in I-AA football is 11 (twice in 1989). The record is 31 against East Texas in 1946 (how did they pull that off?).

Whitehead gets it at M24, to the M33. Kats having some difficulties moving the ball. McN moving the ball to the M41. Fontenot brought down by Robinson. McN has to punt it off. Kats' ball inside S20.

I am thinking that Pate came in today because TW wanted to run a hurry up offense and he knows the offense the best.

Very solid defensive effort today but the offense just could not stay on the field. Throw in the grass field and we were doomed.
