You can imagine my glee to see the DII Washburn Ichabods hammering on the Bears. However, as a fan of FCS Football the damn bears better pull it out.

14-0 Washburn in the first. Bears have had two different touchdowns called back.

I just got back from the game. Bears have had their chances to blow this open but penalties are killing them. Washburn is a darn good D2 though. Also its pretty miserable out there, mist, wind, and cold.

You left DURING the game? You're talking about American football right?

UND is a lot better team than Washburn. NC and multiple deep playoff runs...I don't think Wash has ever made the playoffs...could be wrong, though!

Ya, bad for the MV...should never lose to a DII at home....27 schollies differencexconfusedx xconfusedx

Long season for the Bears

Man, what a bummer. Especially if Washburn is not a playoff team.

God I hope they didn't have to pay them to come play and then beat them xsmhx

Washburn plays in the toughest conference in all of Division II. The Ichabods went to the D2 playoffs in 2005 and 2007. They are a consistent top three finisher in the MIAA. Their victory doesn't surprise me at all.

It's no wonder Terry Allen didin't want the XDSU's in the conference. He can't win against DII's it will get real ugly when conference play starts for them.

It was our AD Bill Rowe who didnt want to add to the conference, not TA

Cause clearly the success of a season is defined in one game.

It collectively took WU's best game in forever and our WORST game in forever for WU to BARELY win.

The Bears will still win plenty of games this year, don't worry.

If there are any openings for jobs this year, Coach Schruig of Washburn should be on the short list. He has build a heck of a program at school that was a bottom dweller in the MIAA.

That's not true, Allen was on the record questioning adding teams with better facilities, including comments about better funding ect. Either way it doesn't matter but we will see how you guys do but from what i've read online most FCS fans are not expecting much from you guys this year. I hope you prove them and me wrong. It only helps the conference overall but your start is very suspect xsmhx .
