OK, so we got our first win over DII Western Oregon but the first half was extremely scary. I think we solved our quarterback controversy and I will be surprised if Howland starts any more this year, barring an injury to Hubel. The run and shoot looked more like the run and scoot of last year in the first half with Howland directing it. Hubel came in right before the half and the offense started clicking. McClintock showed no effects from last year's knee injury and should be ready to go. We need to cut down on stupid penalties, that was pretty much what kept the Wolves in the game. The defense, a scary sight last year, spent much of the afternoon in Western's backfield. Western's last score came with 20 seconds left in the game, thus made the score seem reasonable. Good showing Vikings, and we now have a bye. Our next game is two weeks in Davis against the Aggies of UC-Davis.
