One fan on Biermann at ESPN.com Falcons message board.

I wish the Falcons would bench/cut Jamal Anderson and play Kroy Biermann.

Sure Biermann is 35lbs lighter than Anderson and Anderson looks better walking around in his underwear, but Bierman is a football player. He will find a way to make plays.

Also to note, one Dolphin fan wants to see more time for Hillard and more carries. A few comments on Carpenter improving the kicking game, but they were very short comments, and not able to find them again. Have to go, but may find these later.

Go GRIZ!!

By the way, for anyone that follows the Bears, Falcons, or Dolphins any updates, word, info, etc on Balogh, Biermann, Carpenter, and Hilliard would be appreciated.

Tons of great pub about Richmond's Tim Hightower, who seems likely to be #2 RB to Edgerrin James in Arizona this year. Timmy scored a TD in their first preseason game against New Orleans and impressed the coaching staff (and the ESPN broadcasters).

Here is some of what they're saying about him:

The Redskins cut Kerry Brown, but only after he got hurt.

the O-Line coach Joe Bugel said they may resign him if he heals before the season. Also said that he had a very good chance of making the team.

Chad Rinehart is a lock to make the team and will see significant playing time at both OG and OT.

Sorry about that, but the responses and follow up in that area is "LAME" for reasons beyond me. In my opinion this is not a lame subject and follow up posts should be of interest for all FCS fans.

This is by far the best site for Cardinals news/talk.

Also threads on UNI's Brandon Keith, and Tennessee State's Dominic Rogers-Cromartie

David Ball is still hangin' in there with the Jets. Got his first PT yesterday and (I am hearing) caught a TD pass at the end of the game, but was out of bounds (just like last year w/ Bears).

He's generally had betwen 1-4 photos of himself up on the Jets practice photo gallery just about every day. He must be doing something right, ....

We have three Bluehens from last years squad trying to make NFL rosters.

Delaware's 1st round draft pic Joe Flacco has seen limited action so far in the 1st two preseason games. Ravens will probably sit him this year before starting him in 2009.

Free Agent RB Omar Cuff did not see any time in the 2nd preseason game. With Travis Henry, Lendale White, and their 2008 #1 draft pic Chris Johnson, Cuff's chances of making the team are slim.

Free Agent OL Mike Byrne is listed 3rd on the depth chart at RG for the Dolphins. From what little I have heard or read he has not had a bad camp but being listed 3rd on the depth chart is probably not gonna cut it.

That is great news for Biermann. Is he seeing time at DE and OLB or just DE?

Brandon London has been getting a lot of positive press with the Giants, making some big plays.

James Ihedigbo had a tipped pass to win a game and a pick in the second game, I believe.

Marcel Shipp is shipping out to Houston.

Joe Mays, former NDSU Bison, now of the Philadelphia Eagles has earned a nickname from camp of "Head-buster". He has worked his way up to second string MLB. Here is link to an article on Joe...

As far as I can tell Biermann has been playing DE exclusively.

Brandon London has been getting a lot of positive press with the Giants, making some big plays.

From Peter King's MMQB on SI.com:
"Remember this name: Brandon London. He'll be on an NFL team this year. He's a free-agent Giant wideout from UMass, and when I watched him the other day, all I saw was a fearless, tall guy who caught everything in his zip code."

Dexter Jackson continues to get reps as a kick and punt returner, he saw time at receiver but didn't catch a pass. The Bucs looked sloppy as I don't know what last night. Josh Johnson didn't get on the field last night.

I'm watching what I guess is a replay of the Panthers/Redskins game. Nicholls State's Kareem Moore started for the Redskins, got an interception early on, and made some other good plays. Got several positive comments from the Panthers' announcers about how he's been making plays and the Redskins' coaching staff really likes him. It's looking to me like this guy is going to be a starter at safety as a rookie when the regular season starts.

According to NFL.com This is the latest on the Portland State Vikings who signed as free agents earlier this year.... Carvalo was cut by the Packers, Sobomehein was cut by the Saints, Heerspink was cut by the Dolphins.

The only Viking to make a roster was Jordan Senn who made the 53 man roster for the Indianapolis Colts
