I originally only had 19 being drafter but I looked to make sure I had everyone and added Long to make 20. I cant believe he wasnt drafted and Im shocked no one drafted Timmy Chang either. I was sure someone would take a shot at him

Per the Sam Houston Athletic Website:

Three Bearkats have signed free agent contracts -- Dustin Long (Dallas), Vincent Cartwright (Tennessee), and Jarod Fuller (Saskatchewan)

Excuse my ignorance, but what league is Saskatchewan in?

Bergen, and a few others were surprised he wasn't drafted, but he was immediately being signed up by Phoenix, though final terms not complete. According to Morning Call article, Cardinals were on the phone with him during last hour of the draft. Probably a good fit for him, since it appears Phoenix really doesn't have an established TE.

No, we don't - and Bergen has a great chance to contribute.

It is often better to not be drafted in the 7th, and then pick the team you have the best shot of making.

Yeah, it's all good. There is so much more on this new board that it is not easy to find everything. My compliments on a great new board!

McNeese football

McNeese State wide receiver Andy Bertrand has signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants.

The Cowboy receiver will report to a mini-camp for rookies Thursday, the event to run through the weekend.

"I'm excited," Bertrand said. 'It's a dream come true and I can't wait to get started."

A native of Miami who has been clocked with 4.4 speed in the 40, Bertrand only played one season with the Cowboys after transferring from North Carolina State. He started nine games for McNeese last season, catching 18 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns. His best game came against Southland Conference champion Sam Houston State when he caught seven passes for 142 yards and two tds.

He had a long reception of 49 yards and was named a team player of the week.

Bertrand will graduate with a degree in Sociology from McNeese at the end of the current semester.
