JMU is the team that is due, even though they won 4 years ago last year showed they were due.

Would be nice to see the series for App and JMU extended after this years game to play every season.

OOC rivalry would make sense. Especially for the another part could be considered a conference rivalry: SoCon v. CAA

In order of likelihood:

EWU
NDSU
Cal Poly

Obviously ASU has all the makings for another run, but eventually something has to happen... right?

Oh and, for the record, no East Coast bias here!

ericsaid

Since the CAA will make up half of the field here's my guess:

JMU
UR
NDSU
DUKE

Montana. Great program with great fans (with a few exceptions).

Eastern Washington has the horses to make a run. Now we have to see how they react to a new coach.

Don't know if this is supposed the most likely or the sentimental picks so here's both.

I'd like to see win it:

Cal Poly
EWU
UNI
SDSU

Most likely in my mind to win it:

App St.
JMU
Cal Poly

Maybe, maybe not. The SoCon is just a flat out tough place to play and have high expectations anymore. Back in the big 3 days, you could have a good team and guarantee at least 4th place. Now, sheesh, you could have a great team and finish 7th.

slostang

I have enjoyed talking with both the fans of SDSU and NDSU during their time in the GWFC and would be happy to see either hang a championship banner.

I would say UC Davis, but we would never hear the end of it if they won one before the Mustangs. The Mustangs did win a DII Chanpionship, something the Aggie just missed out on a few times. Maybe if Cal Poly won two or three FCS Championships I could pull for the Aggies.

Poly & McNeese are each playing schedules that if they are 8-X, they are legitimate shots at the national title.

NDSU has a virtual shoo-in OOC schedule, so they, along with the other MoValley teams, will determine their destiny inside the conference.

Montana has a schedule that will lock them in to play-offs if win OOC's, even if don't win the Big Sky.

In contrast, EWU will have to win an FBS game, or be the AQ.

Can ALBANY surprise to get to the title game? xwhistlex

All I can say is if Cal Poly meets up with either NDSU or SDSU in the playoffs I hope it is in San Luis Obispo. Fargo and Brookings are tough places to get a win in the regular season. I can not imagine how wild it would be in the playoffs.

I think there's a decent chance JMU will miss the playoffs. xeekx There, I said it. Duke, AppSt, UR, UD, Nova... I can see them losing 4 games next year. Not saying it will happen, but that would eliminate half the predictions on this thread. It's going to be tough to come out of the CAA South this year. xnodx

I'm not sure how anyone could go against a fourpeat at this point. xoopsx
