Found this out last night. Hopefully it'll be home and home. Oh, WCU is scheduled to play at Virginia Tech in 2013.

I like this game and would like to see Coastal get more SoCon teams on their schedule on a regular basis!

You've almost played everybody in the SoCon already. Don't know why we didn't add you guys.:o

That said, can't wait to play you guys.

If Ga. Southern or App State ever leaves the SoCon for FBS, my bet is that Coastal would be the first school the SoCon would go after to keep the 9-team football, 12-team overall balance it currently has. Of course that's all speculation. Besides, at least for the foreseeable future, Coastal has an easier shot going to the playoffs by winning the Big South than it would winning the SoCon, or even getting in at-large, so maybe Coastal fans should be happy where they are for now.

Anyway, this matchup seems like a good move on Coastal's part. It's smart to schedule OOC games versus teams that are relatively local, and Western will be a familiar name for their fans. Plus it just sounds cool to have a mountains-versus-beach matchup in WCU vs. CCU. It should be appealing road trips for both fanbases due to the fringe benefits both sites offer. The mountain folks making a weekend excursion to Myrtle Beach, and beach bums heading to the hills and soaking in GSMNP while there. Count on the tourist traps on both ends to market themselves big time for those games. xpeacex

Back in '06, we played more teams from the SoCon than from our own conference (Elon, Woff, GSU, Furman, & AppSt). xlolx

CCU has never played Chattanooga, Samford, WCU, or The Citadel in football.

Is this a home and home schedule? If so, when is the second game?
