just a brief mention in Mike Reiss' blog today.

Ventrone is moving over the the offensive side of the ball for the Pats and now wears #41



Ventrone spoke after practice about making the move, saying it's the first time he's played receiver since his sophomore year of high school, although he did get some work there as a scout-team player with the Patriots.

he always has worn 41 in the nfl.. if he makes the team (which i think he will) i doubt he'll keep the same number he'll probably get one in the 80's or teens

yup I mis read the post on the blog. He has worn the #41 last year with the Pats.

i think he has a chance to be about as good of a gunner as David Tyree (who's the best)

he made a great tackle on the final Patriots kickoff in the Super Bowl

I was ecstatic that tackle happened as a Villanovan but i was even more ecstatic that it meant nothing in the grand scheme of things as a Giants fan
