Nicholls' Webb Projected First Round Pick - 2009

Sure, it's early -- but to see an FCS guy already penciled in amongst the top guys in the nation for next year's NFL draft is something else. Congrats to Webb, who is a sensational talent to watch. Had a great year for the Colonels this past year and I'd expect big things from him this year as well.

30. Ladarius Webb, CB, Nicholls State
This is the small school defender with the best chance to jump up the boards. He's 5-11, 185 pounds, has great ball skills and is also a fantastic return man.

He's a pretty good talent ... definitely a first day selection. Wouldn't be surprised if he went late first round, though I had him as a second-third round guy

SLC has had their fair share of third rounders as of late with David Pittman, Keith Smith and Josh McCown. Would be nice to move on up!

Webb is definitely a great player. The word is that he will move to CB from safety in the NFL.
