If you can get 6 home games scheduled in an 11 game schedule, there is no reason to do 12 unless you can get an unbelievable payoff from a BCS school.

McNeese is playing 12 for the first time. Most of the SLC is or is trying to schedule 12 games.

The SLC is a leading proponet of allowing 12 games EVERY year to help us balance the budgets of our athletic programs.

Did anybody really think that Montana would turn down another chance to host a home game and make some dough?

Just 11. Aug. 30 is open, but there probably aren't any takers.

Spiders have 12, but I think for us it is 5 at home and 7 away, which is not particularly pleasing. OOC has 1 home game (G-town) and 3 Road (UVA, VMI & Elon) and then 4 home and 4 road in the CAA.

So I'm guessing the Bison only have 11 games then??? How very frugal of them. :D

Only 11.

We're saving ourselves for a playoff run.

The top 3 in the Gateway are guaranteed in the playoffs this season.

Likely a 4th as well.

THIS is why the playoffs will NEVER expand beyond 16 games in a 4 week time span.

AD's would rather have a 12th regular season game as the norm to make some $ rather than another un-profitable playoff game.

Not the ADs who know they can get 6 home games every year in an 11 game schedule.

Those are the ones who are in power.

The SLC AD's want the 12th game to occur every year, and they typically have no problem getting 6 home games.

They want that 12th game to make our schools available to play BCS guarantee games for the big bucks. $$$$$

I'd rather see 12 games per year in the regular season myself. The more football the better.

Two of our games are against FBS teams (Climpson and Florida).

One game is against NAIA (Webber).

So we actually have 9 real games that matter.

(We play an Ivy League school this year, too. Does that matter?)
