hopefully we can get someone to fill the hole for 2009 left by bumping up LSU. Guess we'll have to wait and see how the LSU game goes first.

For University of Richmond:

2008 Virginia
2009 Duke
2010 Virginia
2011 Duke
2012 Virginia
2013 TBA
2014 Virginia
2015 Vanderbilt

It will be interesting to see who we get for 2013, I would love to see Wake Forest, or maybe Tulane. Some school that is one of our Academic Rivals as well.

Why doesn't that surprise me!!! They love to pontificate on how much better they are now and why they left for FBS. The last thing they want shattering the illusion is a close game with a former conference mate, especially the one a few miles to the north!! And, OMG if they actually ever lost! xeekx Oh, would I have some fun with that!!!!!!! xnodx xnodx :p :p

UMass won the last meeting at McGuirk 62-22 and UConn has showed no signs of wanting to play us since .

They are just amazin'. When Calapari was our basketball coach, UConn promptly dropped us from their schedule. We had only been playing each other every year for about forty years. They said they couldn't find an opening in their schedule. So those great UMass-UConn teams of that era never met.

After Calapari left, it took UConn two years to find an opening in their schedule. So we again played about 10 years in a row; UConn winning all the games except for one.

Now we again are on the upswing, with a 20 win season last year and a possible NCAA bid this year. Only two years into Coach Ford's tenure, UConn has again decided that there is no room on their schedule for us.

Anyone see a pattern here? xlolx

40 years? UConn and UMass had to be playing hoop since just after WWII leading into the creation of the Yankee Conference. Seeing how close the two schools are geographically, they must have played before WWII as well. I see UConn on UNH football schedules back into the early 1900's! You guys must have been playing hoop since way before WWII!! Even if only since WWII, that would have been close to 50 years. It is ridiculous that you guys don't still play.

Without a doubt UConn and Calhoun want to play a cupcake OOC schedule. If there wasn't pressure from the networks and significant money to be made, I swear UConn would play all cupcakes for OOC games. I laughed my arse off last year when their young team ran through the OOC schedule then got absolutely blasted at West Virginia in their first BE game. The team wasn't prepared for the BE and ended up not making the NCAA Tournament. Don't feel bad, the Sled Dogs avoid the Rhody Rams on the hardwood like the plague as well.

My Wildcats have won the last four games on the gridiron with the Sled Dogs. The last one being a 43-18 whooping in Storrs during Edsal's first season. I couldn't find the game article, but I recall Edsal saying how much greater the UNH effort was that day. (UNH was only 5-6 that year.) He was pretty upset with his team. We were supposed to play again the following year, but supposedly they dropped us like a hotcake because they wanted a game they could win. So, they scheduled Northeastern instead who beat the Storrs Sled Dogs too!! Thanks NU!!!! xbowx xbowx I'm not expecting to see my Wildcats playing at Rentschler Field any time soon either 74!! xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

Delaware has Navy in '09, '10, '11...Does Navy have a mandate that they won't play at Delaware( or any FCS team for that matter)? I know they used to play home and home during the 80s. Additionally, I know conferences like the MAC and SunBelt won't allow their teams to play road games against FCS teams which is amusing since teams like Youngstown, Geo. Southern & Delaware could outdraw them. But Navy is not in a conference and thus would not be bound by conference rules. Reason I'm asking is that Navy routinely plays home and homes with teams that would draw less ( in some cases FAR less ) than UD. This season I believe they have away games against Duke and Northern Illinois, two teams who average less fans than does UD. As do teams they've played on the road the past few seasons: Toledo, Rice & SMU. So obviously it's not about money. Is it merely perception?

I would like to see us start a home and away series with Buffalo . Our first FBS team we face is Army in 2011 but after that Buffalo could be good match up since both are SUNY schools. Hopefully their rules will change about road games with FCS teams. Buffalo kind of keeps their distance from other D-1 SUNY programs. I think we played them once in baseball several years ago but that is it. Im not sure if Albany has had any games with them.

UNC will be back in the ACC hunt by then. I think we have a better shot at Arizona. Also, if Ellis Johnson is anything at USC like he was at El CId, he might just dork up their defense enough so that we can take them for two in a row.
