Conway athletes are Furman, Campbell Bound
Conway quarterback Dakota Derrick thought he might have to wait a year to sign a national letter of intent to attend a Division I school - until Thursday.
The 6-foot-5 senior committed to Furman hours after Paladins coach Bobby Lamb extended a full scholarship offer. He will sign with the Southern Conference power on signing day 2008, instead of waiting until 2009.
