Mount Tabor's Gainey will play for Mountaineers
Appalachian State adds two other commitments to 2008 football class
Ed Gainey, a two-time All-Northwest selection and Shrine Bowl participant from Mount Tabor, has accepted a scholarship to play football at Appalachian State next season.
Gainey said he would play for the Mountaineers yesterday after a weekend visit to the campus.
The Mountaineers also received commitments from quarterback De’Andre Presley of Tampa, Fla., who could wind up as the backup to Armanti Edwards next season, and safety Dominique McDuffie from Chattanooga, Tenn.
