He played O-Line for Lafayette and was a coach during my time as a player. I rememer him as being a passionate and fun loving coach. He acted as a mentor for young African American guys on the team, and helped them achieve success at Lafayette. Very Sad news

So young - hadn't even entered his prime. God rest his soul.

Very true-- coach Taylor was a large man but I understand that he lost well over 100 lbs 2-3 years ago. I was very happy for him as he appeared to be on the path to good health and his career was going well. How quickly things can change.

I had heard that he was battling with complications due to diabetes. Glad that he was able to realize a dream of becoming a head coach, even if it was short lived. May he rest in peace

Sorry to hear the news...seems like these type of things come in groups. On Sunday it was announced that Lehigh's captain of the 2000 basketball team, Jared Hess died of leukemia...peace to all..

I don't think he would've liked that they dropped football and wiped it off their sports website. xsmhx

Sad news. He touched a lot of lives despite his chronic condition.
