Anthony Glaud, a redshirt freshman QB from Bowling Green, has transferred to DSU along with a wideout. The newspaper article described him as 6-3, 212 and a "classic drop-back passer." Has anyone here seen him play?

Saw him, big kid, kinda slow but still young. Waiting to be molded. Lavan is salivating. Great for DSU!

Has to be a good pickup - no offense to their signal caller from last year, but Del St's offense was anemic at best, and that was with a top notch WR on the team. They can't always expect the defense to bail them out like it did this year so getting something going on the offensive end can't be a bad thing.

Looks like a good pick up by DSU.

"Wait a second - what's this word 'State' doing next to 'Delaware' in my letter?"...

Look at the above quote closely and you'll see why he wasn't considering Delaware... when was the last time Delaware started a freshman QB? xlolx

Keep 'em coming! We might just get three NFL QB draftees in one decade if this Schoenhoft kid from Ohio State keeps the track record going. By the way, don't forget to watch Joe Flacco this Saturday in the Senior Bowl. xthumbsupx

Can't forget about ol'Dexter Jackson catching passes from some of the big boys :D

Most likely will return some kicks to show off the speed. Hopefully he can hold onto punts if he gets to field them...had a little problem with that before xoopsx

Guys help me out here - didn't Gannon take over at QB midway thru his freshman year?

Gannon was Delaware's starting QB during the 1984, '85 and '86 seasons. Delaware didn't allow freshmen to play until 1988. In 1989 Vergantino started as a freshman.

Hey if you're talking about "Quarterback U.", the last time we started a freshman at QB was 2001.

Way to go Hornets! Nice pickup. Like GF said, anything to help that offensive offense.

I'm quite aware of that... your starting QB wasn't good enough to crack our starting roster :p

Just having some fun.

No problem, it worked out pretty good for us. The guy that beat him out, Andy Hall, led us to a NC, pummeling the PL champ in the NC game 40-0. xthumbsupx

Funny thing was Keeler took a lot of heat letting Connor go and leaving the Hens with an inexperienced backup. Connor asked Keeler if he would start with Hall coming in and Keeler said no. At that point Connor decided to transfer. Keeler could have lead Connor on and let him think that he had a shot at starting but Keeler played it straight with the kid and Connor transferred with Keeler's blessing despite having only one other QB, a redshirt freshman, on the roster.

As it turns out Keeler's assessment of the QB was dead on. But it did not seem so 5 years ago.
