View Full Version : Towson Football to play Navy in 26 and 30

The Towson University football team has announced that the Tigers will play Navy twice in the coming years in non-conference action.

Towson will take the quick 46-mile trek to Annapolis to play at Navy on Sept. 5, 2026 and Aug. 31, 2030. Towson and Navy have played just one time previously, on Aug. 30, 2008 in Annapolis.

With this date announcement, Towson has also announced that the 2026 game between Towson and Morgan State will now be played on Sept. 19.

That’s a nice pick-up for the Tigers. Refreshing news after all the recent implications from some UD fans that somehow you have to join some limp G5 league to add some nice OOC opponents.

Navy only has now one open slot most seasons so to grab two upcoming games is impressive. Their OOC is already plugged in future years with Notre Dame and Air Force (along with 8 conference games).

Any idea if the Dartmouth at Towson game that was canceled in 2020 will be rescheduled?

The late Buddy Teevens was asked this a while back and he responded that he thought we would give Towson the return game sometime in 2029 or 2030. But it was hardly definitive...

I took a look myself. It appears that the canceled game was indeed rescheduled for 2029.

Lafayettes game with Navy was cancelled in 2020..Last time we played them was 1985 and I was there! I know we play UConn next year for first time since 1984 (a game I was also at in Easton)
