FYI, our QB Annexstad went down late against MoST last week .. literally our last play to score TD, putting us down 1. Our back up came in for the 2 pt comversion. Anyway, not looking good as of yesterday for our starter this weekend. Our backup .. as usual .. is largely untested, but he is a dual threat who doesn't have to depend largely on his pocket passing like our starter. This will be no revelation to your coaches ... but our offensive game plan will be completely different this week. The good news for us is our coaches and backup will at least have had a full week to prep for this. No to mention, our offensive film will be largely useless to your coaches. Not saying, we're better off with our back up. But this will be less bad for us than if the injury happened on first series in our game with you.

Anyway .. welcome to the MVFC and good luck this weekend .. just sort of on the latter.

Well, this is very unlike any Spack Redbird team we've ever had ... before our QB went down anyway. Strong pass game .. top 4 or 5 of Spack era. And weaker defensively, bottom 3 of 4 of Spack era. But you won't see that pass game, and were hoping our defense is slowly shoring itself up. So this scouting report may not look accurate come saturday .. but does reflect our 9 games til now.

Playing in MVFC should help you recruit at some point for kids looking for higher level of competition and NFL attention. Noting, we look a little deeper than normal this year with arguably 7 teams iin top 25. And we could emerge as an 8th strong team, with 2 strong wins to finish season .. and then still need a little help from the bubble teams. So not looking good for us at moment, as far as playoffs ... even if we win out for 7-4 (5-3), our weak SOS will hurt us.

Give it time though for your Racers ... our current bottom 3 (WIU, ISUb, MoST) have all competed at different points over last 10-12 years. So it's not impossible for lower tier teams to compete at times.
