I watched the game replay yesterday. Nothing wrong with the Richmond defense, they played very well considering the turnovers and the inconsistency of the offense. Morgan State scored the winning TD when UR fumbled on their own 9 yard line. The QB, Wickersham, who went the whole way for Richmond is at best a running specialist who might do well in an occasional Wildcat Formation. But the guy has no pocket presence, he's flushed easily and throws the ball too quickly or takes off running too soon when it's really not necessary. He has no finesse in terms of finding extra time in the pocket. He made a pretty decent O-Line look terrible.

The other factor, how good is Morgan State, is a little harder to decide. They seem significantly better under there new head coach who saw many years of success at the Division 2 level. I'm also thinking that HBCU FCS football in general is on the rise. Perhaps due to the great exposure they have been getting from numerous national broadcasts of games, particularly at the beginning and the end of seasons.
