The next generation of College of Faith. Located in a suburban office building, no campus, no athletic fields. Less than 400 undergraduates, 100% admit rate.

PSU is the best opponent they will see this season.

They also play Incarnate Word the next week, but otherwise many little-known religious colleges

Why would PSU and IW want or have to schedule them?

Why would PSU and IW want or have to schedule them?

Probably a combination of any or all of these three:

1. A gap in the schedule that is not worth missing a game over;
2. A home game that can return revenue to the school; or
3. An opponent that will take a smaller guarantee and is, well, a guaranteed win.

There are probably a half dozen of these non-NCAA teams that find their way to FCS schedules, among them North American, Lincoln of California, Virginia-Lynchburg, and University of Fort Lauderdale. The Lincoln schedule appears to be all road games:

This game is a waste of time for all involved. I looked at past North American schedules. They lost to Pine Bluff (3-8) in 2022 by a score of 76-3.

Who's paying for this school to go from Stafford, TX to Portland, OR? Portland State?

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Who's paying for Lincoln of California to play in New Haven? (Hint: it's not Lincoln.)

We had a home game against a DII opponent back out at the last minute. All available opponents wanted us to go on the road with no money. Not really ideal but it is a home game.

The link you provided is broken. However, on their website, I noticed in 2021 the school advertised that they play a mixture of teams from every level between Division 1, all the way to JuCo.
