The University at Albany baseball team fell in both games of Friday's doubleheader to America East opponent NJIT. In game one, the Great Danes were led by starting pitcher Cregg Scherrer, who only allowed two earned runs on three hits, but eventually fell via a walk-off double, 3-2. Matthew Mariano pitched five strong innings in game two, allowing just one earned run on five hits with five strikeouts.
